The Last Season at Yankee Stadium

Since 1923 Yankee fans have flocked to E. 161st Street and River Avenue in the Bronx. Today is opening day, and it will be the last opening day this stadium sees. Many historical events have happened at the memorable Yankee Stadium. Lou Gehrig made his speech when he found out he was diagnosed with what is now known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The infamous Babe Ruth had his prime years running through the field through the years. At the end of the season the doors will close leaving Yankee fans without a home, but not for long. The new stadium I am sure will hold many amazing winnings, and new memories for all the fans. I am a Yankee fan, but I have never been to a game. I plan on making an effort to see one in this last season.
