Gossip... hurtful or informational?

Women today are often known as "queens of gossip" and I cannot deny the fact that I gossip, because I do. Society today actually bases life around gossip. This is just an opinion, but I feel with all the magazines and newspaper articles on Brittney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Who is not eating anymore and so on and so forth, this just proves the point. In all honesty, if I was not eating anymore, I do not think it would make the front page of US Weekly. Society pays too much attention to other people's lives. Society is driving these celebrities crazy. Some ask for it, granted, but others I feel are driven into their own insanity. I happen to work in retail and on my break I walked into the local CVS and I was actually alarmed with the amount of magazines focuses on people's personal PROBLEMS. I could see if someone has a baby and everyone is happy, but reading a three paged article on "Which celebrities marriages will last the longest" sickens me. I will not lie, if it is in front of me and it looks appealing I will read it. For example, Heath Ledger's death, very upsetting and I was dying to know what went wrong. Sadly enough when I picked up the article is was pointing fingers and discusses his problems, when really all i wanted to know was how it happened, natural causes, etc. I feel that people enjoy other people's pain. Why can't everyone read about someone overcoming an eating disorder instead of posting pictures of their bones sticking out on the beach. Leave them alone, they didn't ask you what you ate for breakfast, so why is it your business. Yes, I know I am not a celebrity and no one is interested on if I ate or not, or if I shaved my hair off, but by bombarding these celebrities to death with questions and rumors swirling, society is driving them out of their minds. If you think about it, is this gossip even informational? Should we even want to know their business? Don't we have our own lives? This is just another piece to add to the puzzle, something to think about it, if you get bored instead of thinking about those poor celebrities. Think about if you would want your every move watched and analyzed?

putting the pieces together

Putting the Pieces Together is going to a blog based on the pieces of my life. I mean all aspects of life, meaning down time, work, school, stress, pretty much everything I will be complaining about will go into this blog. I will most likely be discussing TV shows, music, entertainment, gossip, current events, work, and dance. Dance is the most important thing in my life, but there is not much I can post on that, but I am sure I will find a way. This blog is going to be completely random. I have no specific tone, but if anything it will be sarcastically humorous. As a child I always loved to play with puzzles, hence the name Putting the Pieces Together. I was always a fan of the puzzles with a million pieces, but I was too lazy to do them. My life has a million pieces and they are all random. Get ready, the puzzle starts now !
